Success rates of almost 90% are reported in the literature with as few as ten treatments split out over the course of about 2-3 months. With minimal to no side effects, patients are encouraged to seek this type of therapy before contractures have become advanced and before surgical intervention, as this increases the chance of cure. It can also be used in cases where radiation has failed treatment.
